Magazine Manager Release 2 Upgrade Notes

Major Changes

Export Invoices You can export invoices to a spreadsheet file. When you exit the ‘Print Invoices’ report, you are now given the option to export the invoices to a spreadsheet.
This export could be used to import into an accounting package or simplifies the retyping process as all new invoices are in one place Use the ‘Close Print Preview’ button (top right of screen), if you press escape key to leave the preview screen, the Export will not happen.
A help screen about this is now provided on the “Create Invoices” screen.
Different accounts packages will have different import requirements. We cannot provide formal support for this process as there are literally hundreds of systems. However, if you are struggling, please get in touch and send us the import requirements of your system (scan from manual) and we will help if we can.

To Do print The list has been tidied. It is now easier to read.
This report shows the next 10 actions for you, this is commonly a single page.

Mailshots and Customer Groups You can change the status of a group of customers. For example, if you have a target group that you have marked as ‘Prospect not contacted’, you can mailshot them (use the Print Labels for a group) and then change the status to ‘Prospect needs follow-up’
Make sure that you do want to change them all

Sector Each business is in a Sector which is used when producing an Index (Monthly Report screen). If you want to add a new sector, just type the new sector into the box on the Contacts screen, you will be asked to confirm that you want to add this as new.
Think about variations of the description of the business sector first, you do not want lots of very similar descriptions.

There are some other changes in the underlying system that do not have an obvious impact on the screens and have not been listed here.

You require the Microsoft Access 2007 Runtime. This is available from HERE
This is about 55Mb big so it will take a while, even with Broadband. If you are not on Broadband, please contact us and we will send you a CD , it is not practical to download this through a dial-up connection.

Note that this is a little behind the current production version and has some functionality deliberately removed. You should be able to get a flavour of what the Magazine Manager can do and if you have any questions, please get in touch.
